What a busy and inspiring day! On 8 November we attended TransLogistica Poland in Warsaw, the leading business event in Central-Eastern Europe for entrepreneurs who use or are looking for transport and logistics services. Bravo to the organisers for making such a big event run smoothly. Our experts Aneta and Iwona were on hand to answer any questions you had. We are launching the "Młodzi Mistrzowie Logistyki" project

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a visit to the ZSE No. 2 technical school in Kraków, where we presented our in-house project Young Logistics Champions to fifth-graders from the logistics faculty. It consists of a 3-month theoretical and practical internship, during which the best students will be able to take their first steps in the industry and gain valuable experience under the guidance of our 6 specialists. We are convinced that this will give young people a good start in their careers!

Every month for six months now, we have been rewarding the forwarders who have achieved the best results in one of the three categories. This time, diplomas together with vouchers for a dinner in one of Krakow's restaurants were awarded to Alexandra, Marcin and Łukasz. Congratulations! We are delighted that we can play together towards one goal.

We are taking the next steps with 2026 in mind

The entry of tachographs scheduled for 2026 is getting closer and closer, and we are taking the next steps as a result. In our weekly internal meetings, key issues are discussed and the next steps to be taken are set, reflecting the strategy adopted. In the short term, we plan to focus primarily on developing opportunities within trucking. Increasing our own fleet, building up our FTL division and much more! More activities will be announced soon.

We have already carried out 900 shuttle transports

As you know, this year we launched an additional type of transport in our offer - the shuttle service. It allows our customers to deliver their goods at a lower price due to the possibility of combining the loads of different consignees. We saw a need, we provided a solution, and as a result, it was appreciated by our customers. Thank you for every shipment we carry out together!

Our fleet is getting bigger and bigger

In line with the plans envisaged for 2023, our fleet of trucks is steadily growing. In recent days, new vehicles have been delivered to us and are about to hit the streets across Europe! By the end of this year alone, we will be in possession of as many as 50 trucks! An impressive number, isn't it? That's why we decided to set off to Kraków's logistics technician schools to tell them: you're on the right track, international transport is the future! As part of this year's campaign, we visited Zespół Szkół Ekonomicznych Nr 2 and Technikum Komunikacyjne nr 25. At the meeting, 4th grade students were able to get to know the behind-the-scenes work in a logistics company. Of course, this is not the end of our activities. Who knows, perhaps with the new school year the first bell will ring for us too.

Marisa Monte's 2022 summer European tour with Matex Transport

Some time ago, we had the incredible pleasure of attending the European summer tour of Brazilian star Marisa Monte,
Our main task was, of course, to organise the transport of all stage equipment and to follow the star around countries such as Spain, Portugal, France and Italy. Our two cars that we sent on tour together travelled almost 30,000 kilometres in less than a month! Organising a tour like this is a challenge - there is no margin for mistakes or even 5-minute delays, everything has to run like clockwork It was a matter of honour for us to keep our finger on the pulse throughout the tour - after all, we couldn't let Marisa's fans down! Of course, we were up to the task, the tour went off without a hitch and we are left our memories we want to share with you.

Remember to choose your carrier wisely, so that you can be sure of a constant and reliable transport service  

The number of carriers on the international market has drastically decreased and international transport is seriously affected. A significant shortage of carriers threatens to collapse the transport market in Europe, increasing prices by up to 30% and interrupting the flow of supplies. With the coming into force of another very restrictive Mobility Package regulation, from 21 May 2022, the shortage of hauliers on the international market will have serious consequences such as even more delays in deliveries or their complete postponement. This poses a threat to businesses that import or export their products. It will certainly slow down many production plants, resulting in shortages of many products such as car parts, electronics, household appliances and many basic necessities. These shortages will particularly affect countries which have been using Polish hauliers intensively for years, such as Germany, France and the UK. The effects of the changes will be experienced by consumers for many months.

For us it doesn't matter - You tell us how many You need and it's our job to organise it so that all of them arrive on time. For one of our Clients, we carried out an unusual project, the aim of which was to load 16 vans at the same time and deliver the goods to 16 different destinations. It was quite a challenge to plan such a number of vans and drivers at the same time, but nothing is impossible for us!
After all, we are masters of organising such projects, and this is made even easier by our 130 vans, which You can find on Europe's roads every day

Despite many restrictions and forbids, in keeping with the strict hospital rules, we managed to transport all the presents so that they reached the hands of the kids in due time, after of course the obligatory quarantine.

From today 4.10.2021 for the next 3 weeks we are running an action "Autumn collection for Burk and Kocurek" - a collection of the most necessary things for animals - in connection with the coming cold days and nights give them some warmth! This year we decided to once again support our friendly Foundation For Animals La Fauna - interventions and adoptions and all the collected gifts will be given to the charges of this very Foundation. The need is huge - every can of food or blanket is worth its weight in gold.

We build kennels!

 

This was both the longest and the most fascinating project which was carried out by our Matex Foundation "Bezronronni". Thanks to the great will and big hearts of our Friends, we managed to create 9 beautiful, original and colourful kennels, which we gave to Foundation for Animals La Fauna - interventions and adoptions. A big applause and thanks above all to:

  • all the dedicated employees of Matex Transport - do you know that you are the best? :) 

  • the best GLS Poland team in Krakow - good job Dears! Your kennels are beautiful, thank you!

  • Nonpublic Kindergarten "Bears" for beautiful and colourful decorating the kennel

  • Mrs. Zofia from our friendly "Wyspy Szczęśliwe" Foundation for Children with Cancer for the huge amount of pillows and quilts which allowed us to fill the kennels with even more warmth

  • all those who decided to support our action and brought in-kind donations - blankets, leashes, bowls, food, toys, quilts... There are no words which could describe our great gratitude
    to the children of the Fair Play Nursery School and Kindergarten Rondo Grunwaldzkie, who will certainly beautifully decorate the kennel in the coming days.

We support Krakow's hospitals!

 

Dears, we can already officially summarise our activities, which we started in March, while at the same time closing the action to help Kraków's hospitals and medics.  This is a great success - of course, thanks to the good people who selflessly supported our activities ❤️ As a summary, there must also be some numbers. Together, we have passed on:
▪️ 4 000 pieces of nitrile gloves
▪️ 120 face shields
▪️ approx. 5 500 cotton protective masks

Over 400 m of material + 1660 m of elastic band + about 60 bobbins of thread - so many materials have been used and processed into something that (we hope) helped to protect human life ...because human life is the most important thing.  All these things were passed on, among others:

Matex Foundation "Bezbronni" for Krakow's medics

 

"We are here to help" - that is our motto. That is why we cannot be indifferent to what is happening around us.
The situation with SARS-COVID 2 around the world is very serious - it suffers from it and more and more people die.

Thanks to our Foundation and partner companies, we have been able to donate over 1,550 protective masks, approx. 30 helmets and 4,000 disposable nitrile gloves to physicians from Krakow hospitals.
 

However, this is not the end!

Forbes Diamonds Award 2020 for Matex Transport

 

We are pleased to announce that Matex Transport was awarded the prestigious "ForbesDiamonds2020". This is an annual ranking of companies that have most effectively increased their value over the past 3 years. A visit to the KTOZ Shelter for Homeless Animals in Krakow wasn't easy - the view of pets will certainly be remembered for a long time -

on the other hand, we are even more determined to organize such campaigns more often and on an even larger scale, and thus we encourage everyone to ADOPTION, which is the greatest gift for these animals.
